There are four main pillars attributing to the growth of our business:
Our water falls under the Category “Prepared Water”.
We meet and exceed the standards for drinking water: SANS 241 and SABS 1862.
To maintain the high standard of our Water we test as follows:
• Regular testing by a SANAS approved Laboratory for microbial testing.
• A complete water analysis is done annually by a certified SANAS approved Laboratory.
• A daily reading of the ‘TDS’ (TDS = total dissolved solids).
• Our Water Plant is serviced & maintained by Puritech, a company specializing in water purification systems designed for African conditions.
Sourced mainly from our borehole where our water is found in dolomitic rock. The Purification treatment system is an eight phase process as follows:
1. Sand filtration – removes dirt, sludge & other undissolved solids.
2. Carbon filtration – removes pesticides, hormones, herbicides, chlorine & other organic chemicals (e.g. Carcinogens).
3. Cation exchange resin used for the softening of our water and removal of any heavy metals.
4. Element filtration – 2 x one-micron filters further removes all the undissolved solids up to 1 micron.
5. Reverse osmosis – removes up to 99 % of all dissolved solids.
6. UV treatment – the ultraviolet phase sanitises the water before ozonation.
7. An Additional Carbon Filter used to “polish” the final product.
8. Continuous Ozonation – ozone is added into the water via a venturi, killing all bacteria & viruses. Ozone turns into oxygen when it
comes into contact with water, which in turn sanitises the container during the bottling process. Ozone does the same job as Chlorine,
except 600 times faster & then converts into oxygen. During this phase any surface & water hardness is broken down. This makes our
water very light & easy to drink.
